Jack & Bruce...

...not to be confused with Jack Bruce, the famous bass guitarist and songwriter formerly of Cream.

'Happy' Jack is staying with us whilst his selfish and feckless owners have swanned off to stay in a very plush and expensive hotel in a very nice seaside resort in Italy. No wonder this country's in a state with people taking unnecessary breaks from their work and leaving their pets to roam the streets. After all it's been ages (almost a week) since Mrs E and I had our last holiday away together.

Titanic terriers!

For anyone who is interested, 'Happy' is a rather grumpy cross between a Border Terrier and a Patterdale Terrier. Thankfully, however, he does get on well with (i.e. tolerates) Bruce and has even been known to have a short chase around with him. However I've never seen him smile or chuckle.

A great brief visit to Keswick but sadly not a completely wonderful weekend as Coventry City lost (again) and yet another new series of Strictly Come Dancing has started on the TV. Hey ho!
