A Turkey at Worky

Since I finally lost my job of wheeling and driving my doctor (he got better), I haven't been taking my favorite country drive. The drive is in the general vicinity of the doctor's office.

Soooo...today I went. I hoped to see some deer, and some sandhill cranes. Final tally? Deer...zilch, cranes...7.

What I did see were turkey vultures, and horses. Both are beautiful. One of the vultures was right around the corner from my house. 2 dead squirrels in the street are just too tempting to pass up. In case you wondered...the vulture seemed to like the little red squirrel as opposed to the fox squirrel. And...they say that I'm not observant. HA!

The shot that I've posted was out in the country. He was all business as he worked the fields. All eyes. Looking for dead stuff. I didn't think he would ever leave the branches...but leave he did. A real thing of beauty when they open those wings.

I put quite a few more shots of the drive on my Flickr page. Have a look.

A beautiful day here. 75 and sunny. A beautiful drive. Aaaahhh, what more can you ask for?

After all of those out-east miles...I'm off to get my oil changed. Watch that vulture! He'll pluck your eyes out!!!

Kick him into LARGE for a better look at the eyes. Steely.
