Happy Holidays

Obviously I didn't take this photo, it's one that Rachel sent me today from their holiday in Portugal.  They've been to Zoomarine for the day, and as you can see Scarlett was able to have a photo taken with a dolphin.  It's such a cute picture, that I asked if they'd mind if I used it for my blip.

I've been to see my physiotherapist this morning but he didn't massage my ankle as that seems to aggravate it, he just used the ultrasound but he's taped it up to give it some support.  He's still recommending the cortisone injection, because the physio isn't actually helping, but said it would be done by an orthopaedic surgeon and wouldn't be directly into the tendon.  So I've agreed he can speak to my insurance company to see if they would agree to cover it.  I'll then talk to the surgeon and make my decision.

In the meantime, he advises against taking part in the Pretty Muddy 5k this weekend, which is extremely disappointing, particularly after all the publicity that we've done, and the fact that people  have sponsored me. I've also been asked to say a few words on the stage before the event, so what we've agreed, is that I can start it with the others but then leave them at the point they go up the hill and into the woods.  I will miss the middle of the course and then make my way to the space hoppers, where I'll re-join them and finish it with them.  And whilst I'm disappointed, I've got to be sensible, because if I attempt to do it all, I could do more damage.

This afternoon I met Vanessa for lunch at Bills in Lewes which was nice, and we had a good catch up. Alan's meeting finished early so he's home already which is a nice change :-)
