CORMORANTS IN THE SOLLEVELD
Piet Hein had been awake very early and had gone to the sea for a swim while I still was hidden in deep dreams.
And at ten o'clock Mischa came for coffee and departed again.
Then it was high time to do some shopping for lunch and after that preparing the quinoa salad. Our dear friends came from Voorburg to us, we had lunch and after that walked to the Solleveld.
The weather not really bad, good weather for a walk, but I would have loved to see a bit sunshine.
We talked all the time of course, it had been a year ago since we had met. One could not neglect the cormorants, because they shouted all so loud. They live in some trees around the big pond. Destroying them.
Everywhere yellow flowers, and some full of caterpillars, the yellow with black ones.
On our way back we sat at the little place near our apartment and drank Ice tea with lemon or tonic. Then our friends took the Light Rail train to Voorburg where they live. So good to catch up with friends. Piet Hein had been at school with Ko, and they had done their studies in Leiden.
Mischa came at seven for a bite and has left again. She had worked on the story and is satisfied about it. Tomorrow we will read it, I think for the last time before she will send it to Extaze, the magazine.
