Kittiwake and chick

For a long time today I was thinking the only thing I'd be blippin' well blipping would be a linnet. After yesterday's high winds and gale it was thick fog today and not what we were needing for our trip out to Bempton.

Dozens of pictures of gannets in the mist, razorbills and guillemots but nothing worth posting.

So on we went to Flamborough Head and climbed down to the beach to see the Kittiwakes at close quarters, one of which is today's blip. Three extras of gannets and a linnet.
