Ready for Bed

Good journey on magnificent roads - but longer than anticipated. Despite sat nav, it took me an hour to get out of Bilbao and an hour to find my hotel in Plasencia. However have just finished lovely meal of gazpacho, steak with pepper sauce and chips, creme Catalan, a gin and two glasses of wine for the princely sum of £16. Now tucked up in air conditioned room ready to catch up on Spanish society news (by looking at the pictures). Tomorrow's drive to Evora is much shorter and I'll give myself time to re-explore the city.
