This Wild Water Lily ...

... was very close to where we went kayaking today from the Vieux Rhone. I have seen lots of these in India but not in Switzerland so the obliging ducks got upstaged in the end. The symbol of the beautiful water lily growing out of murky waters and muddy pond bottoms was all there in this single lily shining in the light.
