The Clearing
Another day of 'partying' for our granddaughter's third birthday...this time our son was able to join us.
I collected him from his home and when our daughter and granddaughter arrived we all went out for a game of ten-pin bowling at Clifton Moor in York. We had a great time - Jessica enjoyed pushing the ball down the special ramp - even the lightest ball was way to heavy for her to lift.
Afterwards we returned to our house for another party lunch/tea and a birthday cake.
I took Finlay out later and we walked through the woods through the 'clearing' that they have made for the re-routed power line. The poles are now up and some wires attached - although I have to say the tree on the right of this shot is touching the cables - so I guess there may be some more felling to be done. The green structure in the foreground is a temporary bridge over the beck for the vehicles.
For the shot I tried out the camera's internal HDR function - it took a few attempts as it seemed to vastly under expose the general scene.
