lashings

+1/3 decided to spend his afternoon session building a raft: they take about 20+ cubs and split them into two teams. Each team gets six barrels, six very stout wooden poles and enough rope to bind it all together. Unfortunately for +1/3 and his team (in fact, both teams) their lashings were a bit shonky.

Once the rafts are built, the teams get on board and paddle out into the loch where their instructor has them stand up on the raft and start jumping about. Of course, the rafts all fell to bits and the cubs ended up swimming. Did I mention the water was pretty chilly?

One by one they all got hauled into the rescue boat and brought back to fetch the flotsam from the rafts.

They all loved it.
