Demission

A painting by David Octavius Hill of the meeting at Tanfield that followed the Act of Separation. I was a bit surprised to see that a few womenfolk were included (top left). Part of the Hill and Adamson exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery, which I visited with Shandonner.
