Marwood Hill Gardens
There are only three days left visiting my mother in North Devon, so today we treated ourselves to a day out at Marwood Hill Gardens.
This 20 acre private garden with three lakes is tucked away in a sheltered valley only 4 miles from Barnstaple. It was created in the late 1950s by Dr. Jimmy Smart and has become the holder of the National Collection of Astilbes. This photo features just a tiny fraction of the large range of primulas that grow in the bog gardens.
