Strawberry Tea

The highlight of the Summer was today, The Peoples Friend's annual strawberry tea & these ladies can certainly bake . The queue was huge, I behaved though and only had 1 cake with my coffee.

A nice surprise this afternoon though as I won a bottle of whisky in the raffle, it was one of hubby's favourites too.

A friend also retired today, we started working around the same time direct from leaving school. I had a career break when my girls were born, but he obviously didn't so as he's now now 55, he has decided to take early retirement.

A busy day, will catch up on journals at weekend
