Boys on the Water

Weather picked up a bit today so with the question..."What would you like to do today?" the reply came back....."Row to the Island"

Just lying to the south of Keswick is Derwentwater - which hold great memories for me over a number of years that I helped out at Bassenfell Manor Christian Adventure Holidays - taking kids out on the water on boats and canoes - and generally getting folk soaked!!!

In the middle of the water is an Island called St Herberts - you can "land" there and I have done so on many occasions, and so today off we set to make it to the island - have lunch and have a bit of fun.

This is a picture of us heading back to Keswick - and with the wind behind us, it was alot easier than heading out there!!!
