Looking for the Blessings

We went to visit the kids today. My daughter in law is under lots of stress and needed a break. Her older sister, just 35 years old with two children, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer which has spread to other organs. This has hit us all really hard.
The guys kept the babies while my Daughter in law and I had a girls day of therapeutic shopping!
We came on home this afternoon and are proud we did. We gave birth to 2 boys and 4-5 more grew up out here. One of the "extras" came home this evening and we are so glad to see him! He and Hubs are looking over the garden here. I fried him green tomatoes!

Life is such a roller coaster ride, isn't it? Days are mixed with moments of sadness and balanced with moments of blessing. Today I am trying to relish the blessings and love every minute. The next minute is not promised. This one is all I have.
