Mulies

       I set out without my camera this morning but seeing some elk prompted me to go back and get it by which time the elk were long gone into the shade of the willows by the river. Will I ever learn to listen to my inner voice. Too late to see the beavers but these mule deer were browsing by the river walk.

       The local hostelries are full with visitors for the Independence Day parade and rodeo. Chairs and tape to mark pitches on the parade route began appearing over a week ago and this morning I spied the extra.
