Day14-Disqualified

The Orkney rider with Team Stromness in the Tour de France which started today, has missed the boat and has been disqualified. In his disappointment he has abandoned his state of the art road bike beside a bin in Franklin Road.

Last night we supped as guests of IainatCreel and the current Mrs Creel at an upmarket restaurant overlooking Scapa Flow. The sun shone, the view was to die for, the company was great and the food excellent. Even the glorious sunset on the way home 10:30 pm, added to the occasion making the evening a wonderful celebration of midsummer.

This morning started with an early walk in the sun, but eventually the clouds came and the weather closed in as we visited the tapestry gallery at Hoxa. However with the transient weather of these Islands, back in Stromness, I type this under bright skies again.
