Baby Wheatear....

was being shown the ropes by his parents down on the sandhills. They were so attentive it must have been his first outing. Also, the female bird was still nest rumpled.
Got several walks in different locations to celebrate a dry and sunny day.
Later, helped friends whose House Martin nest has fallen down killing two but leaving two chicks alive. They are quite well fledged, so put them in a box in a tree underneath the old nest site. The adult birds are still around and should feed them. Inexperienced adults , I presume.
