Crepe Myrtle #1

   This  is the parent myrtle....    The crepe myrtle #2 I Blipped yesterday was air layered from this tree.   This tree is well balanced, healthy and growing well.  The blooms are  further along, and have fallen off afterwards.  It, to, was going to be styles into a weeper, but the tree didn't like it.  Even when wired and set set, the tree should rebound after the wire was removed.  It returned to it's own shape.
    So......  I let the tree be healthy  and grow.  I feed it, trim it, and keep it in shape.  It looks a bit wild right now because it is in it's full summer growth.  this fall I will trim it back and reshape it before it goes dormant for the winter.  Both of my myrtles are happy, healthy, colorful trees.
