Male Hummingbird

It was overcast this morning so I almost didn't go to shoot the hummingbirds, but in the end, I was glad I did.  I couldn't get my shutter speed fast enough, but I still managed to get a couple of shots that were keepers.  Surprisingly, although it was a Saturday, I was the only photographer there.  I expected it to be crowded.  

It is our 4th of July long weekend here in the U.S., made extra long by the fact that the holiday falls on a Tuesday.  I suspect most people have gone away.  AAA has predicted that more people will travel this long weekend than at any time in history.  It seems to me that it is a good time to stay home.
