80 years young

Cathleen and I were down in Ayrshire this afternoon for Grady Ullirch's 80th birthday party.

He has had an amazing life and , as befits a Chief Petty Officer (Retired) of the US Navy,  he celebrated in sailor style this afternoon with his grandchildren  (in the picture), his family, his wife Kay and  their many friends. 

I was lucky enough to be at Kay's 70th in exactly the same spot only 3 years ago -  and blipped it too, as can be seen here.
