Surprise walk

I wonder what it's like being a dog, not knowing whether the trip in car is going to be a quick half hour run around or a 6 hour ramble?
He had fun anyway walking from Linlithgow over to Grangemouth then on to Bo'ness and Blackness Castle. Went on the John Muir way for a lot of it and visited James Watt's secret workshop by Kinneil House where he worked on his new improved steam engine.
