Inverness Campus, looking to the distant College from near the Golden Bridge.
As requested at work, took some photos of a competition winning painting & decorating apprentice, Emma and her boss. I did something similar last year, at much shorter notice, and just with the camera and lens I happened to have that day. Was given the impression it was just to be used for the internal news website, so was fairly relaxed in the thought that they'd shrink it down to a teeny JPEG file. Not so, as I learned last week. It was used all over the place: in two local newspapers; and at least two trade journals, along with their associated websites; also in various social media sites. In that knowledge, I was a tad more nervous about today's shots, and thankfully the main subject was a star, and totally relaxed and natural in front of the beast of a camera used (not today's Blip providing film camera!). I'd never claim to be good at such staged shots. Candid or reportage stuff is more my speciality.
Fixed a signal generator, and a power supply for a Bernina sewing machine. Was chuffed at managing the latter, especially after personally buying the £2.30 part via Ebay. That saved the College at least £140, not having to buy a replacement power supply.
