Stilt houses Tai O Lantau Island Hong Kong

These are the last of the old stilt houses at Tai O on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The other were burned out in a fire in 2005, and have been replaced by ones made of sheet iron. The disadvantage of the new ones is they get much hotter than the old wooden ones (and of course aren't so picturesque, though probably are more modern and comfortable.)
