Quim and Lena
So many photos, so many stories to tell - but too little time, too little brain space - so here goes one of a long friendship - the sort where there is no need to prove yourself, no need to impress, just joy in the being together and gratitude for those who believe in you more than you believe in yourself. The beginning is lost in the mists of pre-marriage days; the middle is made up of them in Portugal; us in Brazil, and now re-forged with us here as well; and the end? Well, it's not yet...tried to give the feel with the hazy over-exposure...
This is yesterday, at the beautifully designed museum in Luz, complete with new exhibitions telling the story of the submerged village of Luz, and all the discoveries that were made about life here in ancient times as they brought in experts to analyse the Roman castle, ancient stone circles, ruins, remains - before they were submerged, or covered by the new village built to house the inhabitants of the old Luz.
An extra of an interior corner, with an ancient oil press, because I loved the light and colours on the schist walls.
Came home in the early hours, too whacked to post, and now need to finish preparing a sermon, and Mike the songs, for tonight, to be delivered in Mora (where we used to live), a two-hour drive from here.
