On the ball!

I saw Des this morning at the gym, and as is usual with him, he had a tale to tell. He had a tooth missing in the front of his mouth, and a few months ago he had a new tooth fitted. He was in bed  in the early hours of Saturday. and woke up, to find his tooth wasn't in his mouth. He got up, and searched all his coat  and trouser pockets, and everywhere he could think of, but to no avail. As you know, he works in a Tesco filling station, and the night before , he had eaten a curry in work, and sometimes, he takes the tooth out, and puts it  in a piece of tissue paper. He waited until they had opened, and  phoned them to ask if the rubbish had been collected. They said, no, it hadn't, so he asked them to keep the rubbish bag until he came in later. He came off the phone, and found his tooth, in a piece of paper, by the microwave. He then had to phone the petrol station, to tell them he had found it. All this happened, and his wife was still asleep in bed. You can imagine the stick he is going to get, when he next goes into work.  I came out of the gym, and walked passed the tennis club, and saw these  senior gentlemen, playing bowls. They  seemed to be in a world of their own.  I walked home, and  then sat out the garden and ate my lunch.
