A walk on the wildside

Not exactly blazing hot but it wasn't raining so we ventured out for  a bracing walk - the Caher Loop. This involves a lot of serious up to begin with and a lot of serious up to finish off with but you do go up high into the hills, over heath, past lakes, through a few tiny settlements, down by the sea  and all the while serenaded by larks and choughs. The wild flowers are looking incredible. I loved this riot of yellow cat's ear (possibly) and blue sheep's bit scabious (also possibly) - with a few straggly pink foxgloves still  holding their own. The heather is just coming out too, as are the yellow asphodels and the bog cotton remains fluffy.
By the way - yesterday's curry plant - confusingly not an ingredient in curry just a very pungent plant!
