Daddy Feeding the Baby

The birthday celebrations from yesterday continued today with my husband’s favourite roast dinner; lamb ribs. During the afternoon some members of our family visited, two were missing as they had not yet done their packing ready for an early start tomorrow.   

Today’s picture shows a male Blackbird with its offspring, which is almost as big as he is. I only managed to get one shot of him actually putting food in the baby Blackbird’s mouth; it was not particularly sharp so it has been included as an extra. Later this young one was getting its own food; I think the parent had got fed up feeding this one and had gone elsewhere.
