Walton on the Naze

As we were driving to Walton on the Naze this morning Mr M & I discussed how long we had been going there for the annual Church Day away. The consensus was over 40 years!

Times change - we used to travel as children in a large party on the train and always finished the day in the Singing Kettle with either egg & chips or sausage & chips - happy memories :)

Other things don't change - picnics on the beach, paddling, building sandcastles and the afternoon spent on the rides on the pier.

A new(ish) tradition for me are hot donuts and this year we walked along the seafront almost as far as Frinton.

Same time, same place next year for our fish & chips :-)
