A fungus

After yesterday's gala, I popped into a local hostelry on the way home..and it turned into a bit of a session, which then continued when I got home.

The result was that this morning was a bit of a washout and I never made it to the steampunk market in Leeds…was probably still over the limit this afternoon too!

Instead we picked all of our redcurrants - 1.5kg in total and then turned about 1kg into redcurrant jelly!

I spotted this huge fungus when I was out with Finlay around 6 this morning, but it was quite dark and the shots I took were a bit grim. So I popped back this afternoon with my SLR to try and get a better shot. I like the way it seems to have oozed in the space in the tree roots and swamped the Himalayan Balsam shoot.
