Jane Austen

An interesting evening. I am not a Jane Austen fan but many of the people presenting this evening are. So reading long passages from her novels was the main offering with a sprinkle of the comic or glimpses of Jane's life. I was the compere and made an executive decision to cut at 2 readers as the minutes ticked on....and on!

A delicious supper of chicken fricassee which would have been eaten in Jane's time...very tasty.
