Eddie Izzard, as he read extracts from his biography and was just 'Eddie'. Humble, witty, surreal, poignant and emotional (when talking about his early years and the loss of his mother) and inspiring. This was him supervising the finding of a photograph on google (as his assistant searched from offstage).

The evening was enhanced no end by the fact that a friend and former colleague, who I haven't seen for 8 years, was able to join us. It definitely will not be another 8 years till next time! Sheffield won't know what's hit it when we come visiting!!!

I had a very long lie in this morning. I hope it has helped me fend off the exhaustion again this week, as it will be a busy one.
