Anniversary

Anniversaries
Are once a year
As the name would imply
Although it seems
As oft as not
That far less time goes by

We look back in time
To count the years
Wondering where they did go
And did we waste
Those hours those days
What do we have left to show

We've childen three
Who're full of health
And who talk to us every day
Even though
It seems at times
They've little enough to say

But speak they do
With gladdened hearts
And smiles on loving faces
Although their words
Travel the miles
From many far-flung places

So now you see
Our years together
Have given us the stars
And now, My Lady
I thank you so
For our 30 wonderous years
