Happy Anniversary!

It's our wedding anniversary today and Alan bought me these beautiful roses - they look lovely close up.

Our weekend away was our celebration, and as we're both working today, we decided not to go out for dinner tonight. However, I have a nice bottle of champagne on chill and a Boeuf Bourguignon is cooking in the slow cooker for a nice romantic dinner at home :-)

Since writing this, I'd like to add a postscript - I had a very emotional morning when I opened our anniversary card from Mum - it was the first that wasn't from 'Mum & Dad' and the tears started to flow. Within the card was 25 euros for a bottle of champagne. I've just spoken to mum and she said that the money was from dad, he'd already organised it - so the tears are flowing again. Cheers Dad, you were such a wonderful man! xx
