GRAY DIGGERS

That is what we called them, when I was a kid.  Some call them ground squirrels.  We went for a hike in a park that used to be a nut orchard.  I had never seen this there before, but the place is infested with them.  I guess there are enough nuts left over from last years crop to feed them.  I think they are cute, but if I was a farmer, I couldn't live with them.
