One of my many Orkney cousins collects old jewellery to sell for a brilliant small charity which gets money together to buy books & stuff for under-privileged kids in South Africa.

I was putting together a small parcel of my mother's old costume jewellery (mostly Celtic silver) when I came across this commemorative crown. Funnily enough, another Orkney cousin was drinking champagne on a first storey balcony on the Strand in London to watch this "Happy Couple" drive past on their way back from Westminster Cathedral on the 29th July 1981!

Apart from that I watched Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal & Johanna Konta steam through the first round of Wimbledon...
