Summer is back

Summer is back and so too are the butterflies. At last the rain has rolled away and blue skies have taken hold.  The big noisy machines working on the new drains were big and noisy again today, but the work is very nearly finished. Maybe they will rumble away soon taking their big noise with them. Our neighbour, Jeanine, swung by to invite us for aperos demain, but, alas, I am off to Belfast tomorrow for an important meeting.  This is why I spent today cutting all the grass whilst N pruned clematis and trimmed shrubs and worked hard in the sun.  Simple fare for dinner, but accompanied by a nice Chateau Lacroux Vigne de Maurival Rouge 2015.
