I want one!
Uncle A came over this morning to admire the shower, the Oz photos and the coffee machine, in that order - not all at once. He liked them all. He seemed interested in the 100s of photos of Percy, beach sunsets and reflections in rivers, though I did notice that the forward key finger was at full speed by the end. lol! MUST get round to deleting a fair amount of them!
Have rung the Pensions folk about paying my pension, when they finally decide to do this, into a different bank account to the one that I filled out in their form (twice). I was a bit worried that I'd be told I had to fill it out yet again if I wanted to change anything. Nope. No worries. How come when I just wanted to change the date it was impossible and I had to fill the whole thing all out again?
Took a walk round via the duck pond and back. Another beautiful day, with just the sunshine part of 'sunshine and showers' in evidence.
I spotted this combi van. I want one. We used to have one, and indeed travelled about in the UK and France in it, and I'd love to do it again, but no chance - JR is adamant. She is NOT roughing it any more. *sigh*It's B&Bs, house swaps or nothing from now on.
Came home behind three hooligans schoolchildren. One of them had just finished his can of coke and was crushing it. I purposely stayed behind them to see what he would do with it.
Aha! He turned to the hedge and was about to push it in, when I tapped him on the shoulder and told him there was a big bin a few steps further on. He assured me he wasn't going to put it in the hedge, he was only kidding, and his friends said he wouldn't do that, he wasn't daft. He needed a haircut, but he wasn't daft.
I said he needed a belt (his jeans were down around his bum). His friends laughed and cheered and agreed. They were quite friendly young folk.
I should have been a few steps behind to see what he really would have done with it. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
How magnanimous of me.
