Monsoon in Goa
Landed in Goa at wee 4am, we just managed to have a proper rest with legs stretched out ... after hours of flying from yesterday ... in a taxi that took us in less than 45min from Dabolim Airport to our destination in Anjuna. Our stay started with a sunrise over the rough Arabian Sea which was very close to our Casa Timothy villa we were renting.
I loved the sound of crashing waves that picked up with stronger winds as the Monsoon rain was approaching and all the palms trees were dancing along inviting us to run outside the patio to dance in the rain.
Our first night ended with locking ourselves out with the keys inside. The door were just shot by the strong wind and draught ... what a adventure we had! It was dark and at night and we were just alone and desperately trying to force the door open but those were too strong ... so we looked for all the opportunities and finally managed with a concrete slab hitting hard in he lock to release, phew!
That night the Monsoon was really strong, it rained all night and howled with the wind forcing coconuts falling over the roof and making loads of sounds ... not when you want to sleep after nearly 48hr of jet lag!
