Tae da Moon an Back

The sun has been shining all day long :)  It clouded over for a bit at teatime, but sun has come out again.

I've been working in the museum office today.  Scanning through more photos and updating the museum photo archive.  I've got plenty of washing done with the fine day too.  I finished work early and went for a walk.  Been a long friends for tea tonight.  More walkies with Sammy and then off to work in the pub later.

For my walk walk this afternoon, I headed to the Moon and back.  This old croft house is called Moon, named after a grass, rather than the Moon itself.  It was abandoned in the 1960s, along with the peerie house next door on the right, Da Star.  Da Star was built for overspill, as Da Moon was overcrowded.  The names are very fitting here, Ringo Star's ancestors, the Johnson's, came from this area, and certainly stayed at South Voxter and Cole, maybe Da Star too.  Charlie Tait was saying that him and his sister are thinking to get a yellow submarine here :)  Taken at Da Moon, near Gonfirth.
