Shoogly Bridge

This was a remarkably difficult river to cross and I had to take measurements on the other side. Someone else has clearly had the same problem. I found this crude bit of 4 by 2 framing in the heather about 20 yards away. It was quite heavy and awkward but you can see it offered a near dry span with the fence to hold on to with my free hand.. When I was done I had to reverse that and reinstate the river to its unbridged state.

As the crow flies this site is probably 20 miles from my front door but 80 by road. (A hundred if I followed the sat nav directions from the car)
