Priorities

This afternoon was Anna's secondary school induction. Parents were invited for the end to see quite how hyped up their kids were at the prospect of September. Well that seemed to be why I was there - Anna was bouncing off the ceiling. Not even letting her excitement be dampened by the "passive aggressive"* speech from the Head. It was fair to say he was a very different creature from his open day sales mode. I think he was just doing the bad cop thing to make the kids behave. Hopefully it was a short lived act. I believe the kids generally like him. And everyone else was suitably warm and welcoming and said both good and interesting stuff. Big day for her so clearly this should be a picture of that. But she will be going there again and this will not be happening again.

So here I am and the wonderful Eddie Izzard has kindly agreed to spend the evening regaling us with stories from his book. And given us a signed copy to take home.

I love this man.
