Good idea at the time!

These bulb catalogues are very appealing and their pictures of flowers put my alliums to shame this year!! So I decided to order new bulbs for planting this autumn. Have just got to muster the enthusiasm to get started on the cutting back to make space.

The big spider like things on the top of the box are Eremurus Stenophyllis, not pretty to look at in this state, but produce tall elegant flowers. I planted some last year in R & P's posh garden, but didn't visit during the period they should have flowered, so have no idea if they produced results or rotted in the ground.

This picture was taken at Floriade in June, so this is what I'm aiming for !!!!
