XXX-tra long pick up tool

I've always envied guys who had one of these....


The one time in my life I tried to "pick up" a girl at a club the conversation went like this:

Me: "I'd sure like to get your number"

girl: "It's in the phone book"

Me: "But I don't even know your name"

girl: " It's in the phone book too"

There's a story behind this, really....

See the package for the magnetic pick up...
I bought that this evening to try and retrieve the shower hose that my son Z. broke off in the wall....
when he was chasing the rat.
And when I went to buy the magnetic pick up at the mall I inadvertently locked my keys in the car...
so Dr P. had to fetch me up...
oops!
Then when I arrived home excited to try out the new "extra long pick-up tool" the shower hose turned out to be non-magnetic...
I'm a pick-up failure once again.

(By the way, don't try and Google "pick up tool" if you have a cyber-security officer at work.)
