Lathyrus sativus azureus

As well as growing the usual sweet peas - lathyrus odoratus - this year I decided to venture out into some of the more niche lathyrus species. This one is the semi-dwarf lathyrus sativus azureus or Electric Blue. Tiny bright blue flowers on a short stem. Unlike odoratus the species sweet peas are largely unscented but they make up for the lack of scent with their more vivid profuse flowers.
