Honesty

Oh how I wish I could say that I took this after patiently sitting in a hide in the woods for several hours.
But I am an honest old chap and I cannot tell a lie. Well only rarely.

The fact is that this beautiful creature is owned and displayed by a Charity which rescues injured owls which can no longer fend for themselves.

You will find several on display to raise funds on Wednesday morning in Wainwrights Yard in Kendal.
The extra shows another example which looks perhaps like a Little Owl.

I am rather ambivalent about whether putting them on display like this is a good thing. But they make an easy blip.
