Lavender

Lavender and hydrangea in my front garden.  I love to sit and look at the colours as they blend together.  Last year I dried some of the lavender and it brought a relaxing scent to the house.  Hopefully I will be able to do the same this year.  An extra pleasure was that over the winter a flock of goldfinches came into the garden in the mornings to feed off the lavender seedheads.

A hot sunny day.  It was 29 degrees as I drove home this evening.   We are in my favourite part of the summer.  I came in from work and was able to open the doors to the garden and catch up with Wimbledon on the television.
