normally get this close to horses/ponies but she was being held by friend N so I felt reasonably safe. N was out driving with another friend and I needed a word so stopped to have a chat. I could have had a lift to the shop where I was headed but decided I would pass. They quite often give people a lift, whether or not they want one and get away with it! My history with these animals goes back a long long way and is just too boring to talk about here.
