Equality, Responsibility, Democracy
Today was a busy and a bit crazy day. My hubby had a little accident when learning to drive left. Fortunately it was just a mirror mirror damage. We went to the Apartheid Museum to learn some more about the country we are attempting to know a bit better than just fro geography and history lessons. It was a powerful experience.
There were many important quotes and plenty of food for thought. There are some I really liked:
'To safeguard democracy the people must have a keen sense of independence, self-respect and their oneness, and should insist upon choosing as their representatives only such persons as are good and true.'
M. K. Gandhi in Apartheid Museum
Respect 'To be free is not merely to cast off ones chains, but to live in a way that enhances and respects the freedom of others.' Nelson Mandela
