Meet Kelso
Quite a stressful morning, which wasn't helped when we got 12 miles down the road en route to the Borders and I realised I'd left all the paperwork at home! A quick about turn and headed home to collect them. Started off again and managed to get to our Airbnb just outside Kelso only 10 minutes after we'd planned:-)
Our friends M & R arrived shortly afterwards and we drove out for a meal at a restaurant they had enjoyed on a previous visit. We were unable to find it at first, but eventually did (minus its sign) and discovered it had just changed hands and was not opening until tomorrow!
So we went back into Kelso to another place we'd been recommended, only to find there was a party of 30 people booked in and they couldn't accept anyone else! It's been that sort of day:-)
We did finally eat a very nice meal at the big hotel in the square (forgotten the name already!) before driving back for an early-ish night. The men are going fishing in the morning, so they will have an early rise, but R and I are planning a lie-in.
The dog in the picture is Kelso, the ideal pet as he doesn't need feeding or walking, unlike our friend's dog Bonnie whom I'll blip another day as she is gorgeous.
Good night everyone and I'll try to catch up later in the week.
