A perfect Day
We spent most of it sitting on the headland at Godrevy enjoying the fantastic weather and panoramic views over to St Ives Bay and the neighbouring beaches, reading and listening to jazz, through my headphones - then a picnic followed by a snooze followed by a walk up to Mutton Cove to see if we could spot some seals which we did.
More of our perfect day, Fulmars and the beautiful view from Hells Mouth and a little further on a delightful Romany caravan, horse and 1 chicken here . A lady in her car told us that the owner of the caravan was walking all the way to Portreath to get fish 'n' chips for his supper, and she was guarding his home, horse and the chicken. The chicken broke loose from the tether she was on and started roaming round the car park. I caught her, she was very calm and chattered away to me whilst we re-tethered her to the caravan. Sadly we didn't see the owner of the caravan returning with his supper, but perhaps he ate it in Portreath or on his long walk back to base?
A day of beautiful weather and views, exiting events and meeting some very nice and interesting people, Mr T even re-united a gentleman with his very posh sunglasses in a case which the gentleman had left on a seat. A telephone number was in the case so Mr. T rang it, the man's wife answered and said he had just got home but she would send him out again to retrieve his posh specs!
